the dimebag project

  • this is the first project that i used ‘sloppy james’ with -

in 2004 i self-published 400 dimebags of 9 short laminated poems (and an interview) in san francisco.

i sent some to publications, sold some, but i mostly gave them out to people on the streets.

i loved the concept of the dimebag because i wanted it to feel like i was slippin' folks a drug.
first i would give them 1 poem in an attempt to get them hooked, and then (with any luck) they would invariably need a dimebag.

the poem i slipped was:

me without you

one word short of a haiku

one word short. i love

giving out poetry on the sly
